Why did you make it?
Once you are able to move your PNP machine around the work area a common question might be "how accurately (and how small of parts) can I place?" This board allows you to visually see that. In addition, it has many tools, like the ruler and setup grid to help in calibrating your down looking camera and really dial things in.
What makes it special?
The board is 2 sided, which helps in testing and debugging your software. There is a ruler with .5mm resolution rendered in copper for maximum accuracy. Ruler and setup grid are invaluable for setup and calibration of the downward facing camera. Fiducial markers are on board for testing your softwares fiducial checks. Parts are rotated at various angles in order to validate rotation direction and accuracy.
