Well now you can with the JetCase! This range of high quality Perspex® cases are designed and manufactured in Nottingham, UK, to give your Jetson Nano the support it deserves. Your needs are covered whether you just want a minimal case to offer it some protection, or something that helps you prototype circuits attached to the GPIO pins, or maybe you want to securely mount a Raspberry Pi HAT to your Jetson Nano. All of these include an optional mount for a Raspberry Pi Camera v2 for added convenience.
This listing is for the JetCase PiHat. It is a simple case comprising of a Perspex® base measuring 116 x 168mm (4.6 x 6.6 inches) with a "sneeze guard" top to protect the vulnerable components and a mounting point for a Raspberry Pi HAT. Mounting holes and standoffs are supplied for the standard size (65 x 56mm) and the Pi Zero size (65 x 30mm) size HAT. The case is held together with nickel plated standoffs and mounted on 6 3M rubber feet. The power, display, USB and network sockets at the back are all labelled and easily accessible. The top panel is designed to fit around a fan plug and a cutout allows all the GPIO pins to be accessed.
An optional mounting post for a Raspberry Pi Camera V2 is also available. This can hold the camera securely at a height of 165mm (6.5 inches) pointing towards the right (USB ports facing away from you), or 110mm (4.3 inches) pointing towards the left. Slots in both the camera mount and top panel allow the flat flex connector to be neatly routed from the camera to the Jetson Nano. 2 self-tapping hold the camera to the mounting post. Note that if this option is selected, then both the base plate and top panel will have the appropriate mounting holes.
These cases are laser cut to order, and available in a wide choice of solid and translucent colours. Whilst the photos above indicate some colour options, please see my other listing for the JetCase Basic and the JetCase Breadboard to give you more ideas. Not every combination is shown, however, so please use your imagination :-) They are normally shipped within 2 working days, and are supplied with the protective plastic coating on to reduce the chance of scratching. All mounting hardware is supplied, and you will need a small Phillips screwdriver to assemble it.
Note that the Jetson Nano Developer Kit, Raspberry Pi HAT or Raspberry Pi Camera Module are not included in this listing. All product names, trademarks and registered trademarks are property of their respective owners
