Alternatively, the adapter can also be used to connect the Apple III to an original Apple Disk II drive but this requires soldering the respective pads, see "Source Code" below. The adapter works with either the internal or external floppy port of the Apple III.
This adapter uses a logic IC to properly decode the Apple /// drive enable signals and provide a signal to FloppyEmu or disk II. When connected to a FloppyEmu, the adapter also supports its "dual drive emulation" feature, where it emulates two separate disk drives.
Item includes a 3d printed case and a 10cm (4 inches) ribbon cable with plugs.
PCB made in Germany. Assembled in Switzerland.
It's based on this project on Github: https://github.com/ThorstenBr/AppleIII_diskII
