A CP2104 3.3V USBToUART converter that supports 400mA+ current. Program ESP8266/ESP32 module just like NodeMCU. It smaller in size than the rev2 and we've made it breadboard friendly. You can also use the flasher to programming ESP32 without pushing flash button.

Why did you make it?

The converter supports 400mA+ current. It's good for programming ESP8266 and ESP32 modules.

For program with Arduino IDE, the circuit does the trick for auto reset. Thanks for NodeMCU team!

Excellent! Supports auto-reset even fro ESP-01! I don't need to keep changing jumpers to switch modes anymore (for use within Arduino IDE)

ESP Flasher Rev4 Works Great!

I was up in no time!

After adding 'http://arduino.esp8266.com/stable/package_esp8266com_index.json' to my Additional Boards URLs in the Arduino IDE, then adding the esp boards and selecting 'Node MCU 1.0 (ESP-12E Module)' I was able to program a test WifiScan sketch by selecting 'USBtinyISP' as the programmer. The USB/serial interface makes it super easy to debug programs because you can view the RX/TX with a serial monitor.
I also appreciate that it came professionally packaged in an anti-static bag. :) Thanks.

Brilliant device - made my life a lot easier.

The new version fits my breadboard and makes flashing the small ESP8266 based boards a very easy process. Having a button to press to go into program mode is a must have feature, easier than using a bit of wire!
Reasonable documentation explains how to use it.
Fast delivery and a sensible price makes this a must have tool for anyone who uses small ESP8266 based boards.

Excellent piece of hardware (again)

Rev4 is really good. I also considered Rev3 very good. This one has a small form factor and supports more modules.
It's recognized by both Windows and Mac automatically. Works with nodeMCU compatibility - no need for more!
Will definitely buy again.
