MerakiDots

"There are some people who live in a dream world, and there are some who face reality; and then there are those who turn one into the other." What I am trying to do is to turn this dream into one PCB art of golden and black.

So here are thousands of golden dots to see and touch. What do you see? You know, eyes can trick your mind. Look closer. They can reveal how you truly perceive reality. Put one in your hand and feel each tiny dot and the wonder of million years of evolution.

The naming is hard. It takes a few days for me to come across Meraki. A Greek word. Meraki means to do something with passion. It is that you put your love into it and make it unique and beautiful.

Tech Specs

The technique used here is one guided-algorithm to abstract the drawing into half-toned dots. Not fully automatic but intentional semi-automatic. After many iterations and manual adjustment, the result is great.

• Finish: Lead-free Golden ENIG
• Size: 64mm x 118mm (width x height)
• Two 3-mm-diameter mounting holes
• A pair of M3 Hexagon spacers

Note: Put a pair of M3 Hexagon spacers to the bottom 3-mm-diameter mounting hole so that MerakiDots is able to stand up on the table.
