What is it?

The AtomDC-DC is a high-efficiency buck converter. It can supply a MAX of 3A to your project. Wide input voltage range of 3VDC to 17VDC.

It comes in 2 forms. Either a FIXED 3.3v or ADJ version.

Why did you make it?

I made this for a future project I will also be selling on tindie. I have some extra boards so im selling them loose.

What makes it special?

The AtomDC-DC is special for a couple of reasons.

LIPO: The voltage input minimum of 3v means you can power this from a LIPO battery which seems to be rare with DC-DC PCBs.

SMT/PTH: I've made this board with everyone in mind. You can use it as an SMT via the EDGE pins or a Through Hole via the inner Holes.

Layout/Silk: The silkscreen is super easy to read with a couple of arrows pointing to the flow of power. Some simple labeling ensures you won't plug-in power wrong.

Enable pin. I recommend pulling this high (TO VIN) if you plan on controlling it. If it will be always enabled simply connect VIN to EN with no resistor.

I'll be posting a link to some documentation soon. Once I've made it. Also, I have an eagle part for this upon request. So you can create PCBs with it without having to make a part.

NOTE BOTH VERSIONS USE DIFFERENT ICs. SO: A 3.3V *WILL NOT work as a ADJ, ADJ on the other hand can do 3.3v. The difference is ACCURACY.
