What is it?

DipDuino is a Arduino in 0.3in DIP form. It runs off the Atmega328P. Uses an onboard CP2104 to program itself and comes pre-programmed with Arduino Bootloader. Will act as a Arduino Pro or Pro Mini.

Why did you make it?

Arduino is very popular but the size of the main board while good for dev work is large for actual devices. I decided to make a nice tiny full featured version. 3.3v and 5v Versions available.

5v NOTE: Uses USB Power... Please take care not to overuse it or short it.

What makes it special?

It's tiny as HECK! The width is 0.37in/9.3mm (0.3in/7.62mm pin width) and Length is 1.82in/46.26mm. It is a full featured board. Including A6 and A7. You can program with onboard USB Micro connector which communicates with the MCU using the CP2104. There is a RGB LED onboard , Shows green for Power and Red and Blue for RX, TX... Makes a nice shine when programming or communicating via uart.

BTW.. Headers are included, not soldered.

EXcellent for breadboarding!

This is an excellent product for breadboarding projects. It provides full Arduino capabilities in a narrow DIP form factor that allows 4 connection points per Arduino pin, plus 4 rows between headers for neat interconnects between other components. No more rats nests of long wires, and very convenient to use with scope probes. The multipurpose LCD is a nice feature. The price seemed high initially, but after allowing for the amortization of engineering costs over a small production run, it is excellent value.

I do not know how the castellated holes on the PCB are supposed to be used, since there are SMD components on the underside of the PCB, and be sure to read the errata sheet explaining the inverted labeling of the 5V and A7 pins.
