What is it?

TeensyDAQ is an add-on board for Teensy 3.5/3.6 that provides 4 separate thermocouple inputs, a high-resolution barometer, and a 1S LiPo charger/interface. Paired with the Teensy that provides an SD card slot, this package provides a self-contained data logger with countless uses. Open-source firmware, available on Github, provides out-of-the-box 1Hz logging of filtered temperature and altitude, but you can also use this as a starting point for your own needs - send data to a PC for live viewing, log at very high rate, or slow things down and make it record atmospheric and temperature data for weeks.

Why did you make it?

Often, I need to collect and log temperature data - monitoring engine cylinder or exhaust gas temperatures for engine tuning, evaluating heating or cooling systems, etc. Often this comes with the need to measure altitude - how does cooling or tuning vary with altitude? However, there are no good, small, lightweight, integrated solutions do to this! Decent single-channel thermocouple loggers are available, but the small ones are about the same size as the entire TeensyDAQ assembly!
