Well made Bus Monitor module

For Z80 Bus Monitor Board - Designed for RC2014

What does the module do?
It is able to show the current address and data on a little screen. In addition it has leds for M1, Mreq, RD, WR, and Iorq.
It has been tested works with systems from Steve Cousins and myself (Rotten Snow).

The kit came the parts rattling around in a little cardboard box.
The seller has genrously added extra LEDs and resistors.
The module came with no documentation.
90% of the assembly is obvious indicated by the silk screen.
I had to refer to the pictures and schematic presented on here on Tindie for final assembly.
I used about 1 hour assembling the module. I made some errrors assembling the kit, but after fixing these it worked.

Is it useful?
The LEDS are not that useful but a nice touch. I would have inverted the signals.
The little screen isvery nice and could possible be useful for troubleshooting purposes, but I have not tested this.

To conclude, it may not be useful but it makes your system looking more impressive.
Recomended.

For 5 way MIDI Thru Splitter unit

I needed a solution that would allow me to keep all my synthesizers MIDI connected to my DAW at the same time, with no more plugging/un-plugging of MIDI cables... This product delivered on every level - It's compact, USB powered, and works flawlessly. No more MIDI cable nightmares - Highly recommended!

If I ever need to expand in the future, there's a 10 way MIDI thru splitter available from the same guy!

Product does NOT COMPLY with Midi standard! Never again

For 20 way MIDI Thru Splitter unit for synthesizers

Every Midi product I use in my music setup will be tested in my lab for conformity. I was shocked, that for such a simple device as this midi splitter, almost everything that can be done wrong was done wrong. It might work, no question, but it ignores everything the midi standard sets. All standard 220ohm resistors between the power line as well as for the midi driver signals are missing! Wrong cable use can destroy the unit/power supply and the midi signals are not properly decoupled! Driver Impedance is totally miss matched! The PCB layout is so badly done, that the Midi Outputs are heavenly ringing and producing extra spikes (could provide pictures)
Sorry but there are to many people these days developing electronics and selling it for good money, but all they seem to know about electronics is, where the hot end of the soldering iron is.
I fixed all the problems by moding the complete unit (spending about 8h). It is now a perfect unit, doing exactly what it should, everything within the standard, delivering perfect signals with no latency. But originally I wanted to buy that, not build it my self :-(

Great device, great price

For 20 way MIDI Thru Splitter unit for synthesizers

So happy this things exists. There are very few commercially available midi thru boxes, let alone ones that support this many ports. Picked it up a few weeks ago and it does exactly what it needs to - split one midi signal to 20 outbound channels.

No nonsense midi thru device

For 5 way MIDI Thru Splitter unit

This is probably the cheapest MIDI thru device out there, and it works perfectly. My previous MIDI Solutions Quadra Thru did not play well with my eurorack modules, but this one works just fine!
