Just what you'd expect from a SID6581 drop-in replacement

Ordered 2 units of audio boost versions a bit before xmas.

Package was delivered 10 days later in a bubble enveloppe, with the product strongly protected by a reinforced enclosure and a few layers of tape.

The lack of efficient tracking from Italian Postal Services added a real vintage feeling to the purchase of this product, so I waited in suspense like it's 1986 :-)

Pros:
- Sound quality is more crispy compared to the other SwinSID-based modules I own.
- Works using 5v as well as 3.3v, so totally suitable for embedded projects

Cons:
- No real hardware/firmware documentation is provided, only marketing statements
- Back of the chip has some components burried under epoxy, which feels like DRM and adds weight to the lack of documentation
- The packaging was solid, but very irritating to remove, whomever had the idea to use the heat gun over multiple layers of tape should try once to unpack a unit

Same issues as with the Swinsid

The X-sid works well with most tunes, but like other Swinsid-variants, it doesn't work with Fred Gray tunes in general. Also, it had issues with Master of Lamps.

Additionally, I would like some documentations, not least on how to perform firmware upgrades
