What is it?

This is a plain PCB for a 75% ANSI keyboard. The PCB provides full flexibility in choosing your own switches and caps. The only parts you need to source are the stabilizers, switches and caps. Any MX switches of your choosing will do, and most keyboard cap sets will work.

You will need a soldering iron as the key switches are soldered directly to the board. This is a beginner project though, the soldering is fairly easy with no other tools required.

Why did you make it?

I have been sick and tired of seeing overpriced PCB keyboards on the market and I knew that I could do it better. This design is my attempt at creating an affordable keyboard PCB. I have done everything I can to minimize and simplify wherever possible.

What makes it special?

The benefit of a fully DIY design is that you get to choose your own caps and switches. This means that your keyboard is personal to you. You can choose any MX switches you want, and even mix up multiple switch types depending on how you want each key to feel. Caps also are completely up to you; color scheme, font and key shape are all your decision. You can also find your own case or grab one directly from my store.
