Worked without any issue flashing an ESP32cam

I bought two. I haven't checked out the second one yet but first one worked as promised. I flashed it with the Tasmota webcam binary and it just worked! That binary has OTA updates built in so won't need the cam-prog after initial flashing.

As to any future design I suggest a couple minor upgrades. A reset button (on the edge so it's reachable, like a Wemos D1 mini) and a LED to show when it's powered and, if possible, blink during flashing (both helpful to noobs).

I'm a bit loony with this purchase :). Now I can flash all my cams without the hassles of powering and getting into flash mode with my FTDI adapter but more importantly I can send the other to my brother who is not a maker so he can flash cams easily with that no brainer Tasmota binary. This will be even easier when Tasmotizer finally supports esp32.

Great device, makes working with ESP-CAM a breeze

Without this device, programming ESP-CAM is a chore: plugging in the programmer, shorting pin during code upload, then powering it with 3.3v but with better current output than the programmer. This hassle is all gone thanks to cam-prog, I love it.

Works like a charm

This is perfect for removing the need to connect the various jumper cables for using a standard USB to serial device to program an ESP32-CAM board.

Works like a charm

The programming board arrived a few days ago, but I was finally able to solder the socket headers to the board.
This makes working with the ESP32-Cam so much easier, I was able to successfully upload code without any issues.
This will make my rover project proceed much faster now that I have an easier way to program, debug and mount the ESP32-Cam.

This is a must for anyone tinkering with ESP32-cam boards

I bought the version where soldering the pins is needed. That is done in under 5 minutes for anyone with basic soldering skills. The quality of the adapter itself is flawless.

It saves you from all the fiddling you normally have with the esp. Instead, you can now use it just like a any normal ESP32 with USB onboard.

Great product! Why doesn't the manufacturer offer this?

Works ! Just works !

Received it very fast and the board is version 3. The USB2Serial chip gets recognized as all other ESP boards and programming works every time with the Arduino IDE and PlatformIO

You don't think you need it til you have it...

When I first looked up this module, it was out of stock. I told myself that I don't need it, I will put something together... Then my ESP32-CAM modules started to gather dust, and I got a notification that it is back, but I was not quick enough. :( I could not sleep for a few weeks, waiting for the notification, and when it came, I quickly ordered one. Now my life is back on track again, I can sleep much better, my hair started to grow back, and my camera modules came into life.

Amazing product, very impressed with the simplicity and ease of use! Makes using the ESP32-Cam just as easy as using any old ESP32 dev board. Absolutely love it! I bought more ESP Cams, because before this product I told myself I was done messing with wiring up the modules. For the price, who could say no?

It's simply AWESOME!

Now you can program your ESC32 CAM in a really easy mode. Sold the pin on the board, attach the ESP32 to the shield and connect to the USB port.
Install the FTDI driver (I'm mac user it was really simple), use the Arduino IDE to charge the code and wait for the upload.

All it's really simple and smart.
The shield is in perfect synchro with the Arduino compiler so you have not to press the reset button before the upload. When the upload is finished you have to reset the board by using the reset button. Also, you can use the shield only for power on the ESP. Really good product!

A must have if working with ESP32-CAM modules

Cheap ESP32-CAM modules are a great cheap resource to mess around with in projects, but dull to repeatedly program even if you already own an FTDI board (no auto-reset) and prone to brownouts if it can't provide enough power.

Bitluni's dedicated programmer fixes both these issues and makes them just as seamless to program microcontrollers with on-board USB.
