SecureSD - Secure MicroSD adapter for Raspberry Pi

This adapter serves as SD to MicroSD card adapter for older Raspbery Pi A/B models, where security and card inaccessibility is important for remote deployments, for example as a VPN gateway, jumping station, a micro server in a datacenter, etc.

Motivation

SecureSD adapter was built out of necessity, where a deployment required spreading multiple Raspberries across the country, without further physical control over the hardware.

Product properties

SecureSD adapter was build with security in mind. Older Raspberry Pis have SD card reader, which makes the memory card easily accessible. Any bystander could steal the card (even from a live system), and compromise the private keys from the card. By turning the MicroSD card adapter back into the enclosure, together with the appropriate enclosure and sealing, it can serve as a cheap and viable solution for secure deployments.
