Here's a hard drive stand I designed in order to be able to safely stack my hard drives while dissipating the heat between the enclosures.

I bought these baby for CHIA farming and I wanted them to laid down for safety and drive integrity reasons.

In my case I was able to reduce the heat of more than 12°C.

In addition, while most external hard drive enclosures are designed to stand up right, and while no scientific evidence confirms that using the hard drive like this is bad for it's integrity, I observed for my My Book 18Tb that they were making SIGNIFICANTLY less noises and vibrations just by laying them down.

Regarding the anti-slip material you can choose between two options : - TPU layer (more stable) - Round mini feets (less surface contact and better for adhesion).
