What is it?

Here we have a replica of an Acorn Electron Issue 6 Printed Circuit Board. The Acorn Electron was essentially a cut down, cost reduced version of the Acorn BBC line of computers. You can find more information about the Electron (affectionately known as "The Elk" here.

What is it for?

The PCB can be used to replace an existing PCB that has extensive damage, or even be used to build from scratch, maybe incorporating the excellent ULA replacement project by Moogway82. More details here

Anything else worth mentioning?

The PCB offered here has been replicated closely to the original specification of the Issue 6 board. We have created a dual footprint for the cassette port DIN-5 connector to allow for a modern part to replace the difficult to find original specification DIN socket, as well as the footprint for the composite video connector.

The PCBs have been produced in purple, with ENIG gold finish. This should make the edge connector more robust and less likely to tarnish over time.

The board has been built and successfully tested with no issues found.
