Hang from the ceiling near a lamp, or in a bright area.

In bright home lighting (400 lux) it turns intermittently, every few minutes. In more light, it may turn more frequently, in almost constant motion. When it turns, it spins about ten revolutions, then unwinds.

Above a table lamp, it casts a spinning shadow on the ceiling.

Tolerates direct sun but will turn almost constantly. The solar cells face down. The top is mirrored and may reflect sunlight onto the ceiling.

Teaches about sunlight and seasons. Ideal for solar homes. Similar to a radiometer. A sensor that measures light intensity, displaying results in motion.

Indoor use only. Keep out of the reach of children and pets.

Maintenance: No batteries. May require occasional dusting.
