"Oh crap, I lost my Quad / Ultra Micro Plane!"

Don't panic; listen for the beeps! The ultra-micro Lost Model Alarm (umlma) will start beeping SOS in morse code every 10 seconds for many hours until you recover your aircraft.

How does it work?

Typical RC plane batteries support flight times from 5-15 minutes and running your LiPo battery down too low will ruin it.

After the configurable Flight Timer expires, umlma will start beeping W in Morse Code (.--) every 10 seconds to warn you it is time to land.

If you lose your plane, the umlma will start to beep SOS in Morse Code (...---...) after the SOS Timer expires. The SOS Timer is automatically set to twice the value of the Flight Timer.

Configuring Flight Timer

Simply hold down the pushbutton switch upon powerup and hold it until the umlma beeps the desired Flight Timer value. Release the button and the new value is saved for this and all future flights. See documentation for more details.

Origin Story

I lost my Hobbyzone Champ on its maiden flight. Flew too high, wind took it. I got it back a few awful, worry-filled days later. I immediately set about building a beeping lost model alarm. This is the result.
