This is a development board for people wanting to interface their devices to the outside world. This allows you to do just that at a very effective price point, in a very small package. This board can communicate with Android and iOS BLE devices through an app.
Why did you make it?
I made it because I am passionate about the possibilities a technology like Bluetooth Low Energy introduces to the world. For the first time, you can make devices that communicate with the world for a very-low cost, in a very small package and last on a small and cost-effective battery. You can power them and not have to change the battery for a year.
What makes it special?
You can pretty much do anything with this. You can use the on-board sensors to form all sorts of motion sensing applications. You can also control relays, motors, and other things by simply interfacing this board the correct way. All the GPIOS are broken out and the Broadcom has a free open-source platform to develop on.
