It has a long fine point pogo pin and a standard 0.1" pin header. It also has a pivot point and arc of pin locations to enable stacking multiple PogoMon together with varying offsets.
Each PogoMon comes with loose headers. There is a 2-pin right angle header intended for the 'probe' and 'GND'. There is also a 2-pin strait header which may be separated and used for the pivot and arc connectorrs when stacking PogoMon.
The primary connections are placed at the edge for each access. The most common configuration is to solder the right angle pins to these connections. The top pin is the probe and the bottom pin a GND. For convenience, the GND is also shared to the pivot so multiple PogoMon will share a GND when stacked.
The PogoMon was create for the obvious reason that my PCB projects don't always work the way I planned.
Debugging a PCB required getting access to very small point of a PCB - the edge of an 0603 resistor, a hard to reach trace of a UART, or even the leg of an IC chip.
The PogoMon lets me use my existing flexible arm 'third hand' to hold a probe at precisely the location I need and give me an easy to connect dupont 0.1" connection.
The PogoMon is stackable. You can solder together multiple PogoMon and control the offset of the tips using the pivot and arc. You can control the spacing between PogoMon but using or eliminating the typical plastic spacer on the dupont connectors.
The PoggoMon are available in sets of 4, 6, or 8 individual PogoMon.
Each PogoMon has the pogo pin pre-soldered and come with loose headers. There is a 2-pin 90 degree male header and 2 straight pins. The straight pins are provided if you choose to stack your PogoMon.
