This version is shipped with a nice PMMA/ABS cover. It is really easy to attach it every where you want, next to your servers in your 10" cabinet.

Overview

hyg-usb is an accurate temperature and relative humidity sensor that you can connect with an USB cable to your favorite server. It can be pooled through a very simple command line interface and has 3 LEDs (red, orange, green) you can control.

This being said, hyg-usb is mostly a sensor YOU CAN HACK ! The firmware, the command line interface, and the schematics are all available in open source !

Technical details

• Board based on Microchip's PIC16F1455 and Silicon-Labs Si7021 sensor.
• Female USB mini type B connector.
• Compatible Unix/Linux open source command line interface.
• 3 LEDS, red, orange, green, that can be controlled from the command line interface.
• Si7021's specifications :
  • Temperature measure accuracy : ±0.4 °C (max), –10 à 85 °C
  • Relative humidity measure accuracy :± 3% RH (max), 0–80% RH
  • Operating range : 0 à 100% RH, –40 to +125 °C
• On board ICSP header reserved space, PICKIT 2/3 compatible.
• The default open source firmware only use 22% of PIC16F1455's flash memory space.
