LBA V1.00 is a very small module designed to offer an audible and visible low battery level alarm. It is designed with Lead Acid batteries in mind but it can be used to indicate any voltage level from between 8.8-14.5V It will operate with voltages from 9-30V but detection voltage is in the 8.8-14.5V range
Original application was to be attached to a bike battery in storage for winter. But there are many other situations when an audible/visible indication of a voltage drop condition is required.
Instead of limiting its function to the most common 12V lead acid voltage range, LBA v1.00 can safely operate up to 30V and as low as 9V input. When alarm is activated, it takes a voltage rise of about 0.7-1V to deactivate it. When idle the device consumes practically no current (a few microamps). Activated it consumes 30mA@11V
