What is this?

This is like a solar powerbank designed for IoT applications and other uses. 1 to 3 18650 Li-Ion cells can be used for increased capacity (also available connection for an external battery placed in parallel with the onboard ones or on its own). 5-18Voc solar panels (10W is recommended) can be used to charge ther install battery. It has two output rails, one 5V3A and another 3.3V2A. They both turn on and their combined output is 15W.

In detail

The charger is MPPT with adjustable Vmpp via the onboard trimmer potentiometer. It is set to charge the battery with 1.7Amax There is reverse polarity/backfeed protection for the solar panel and reverse polarity indication. Each battery onboard and the external connection for battery are protected by a fuse. There is also battery protection for over-discharge, over-charging, short circuit, over current & reverse polarity insertion. The output turns on and off using the onboard push button (or an external push-button). If battery protection kicks in due to over-discharging, when external power is next applied, the output will also turn on. There are measurement outputs for battery & solar panel voltage which are enabled when output turns on and are both set to a max 3.3V via voltage dividers. This allows battery and solar panel monitoring from an MCU.

Solid product for outdoor solar projects

Good packaging, quick notification of the tracking number.
Just the tracking update of the greek post is absolutely horrible. Nothing the store can do about. So shipping 5/5.

The documentation could be more detailed.
E.G. the status LED of the LiPo charging IC. (Which is dual color for charging/charging finished)
The slide switch combined with the GND+SW contacts on the terminal block has 2 modes:
- One as extensions to the ON/OFF push-button on the board.
- The other as permanent ON via cable jumper, pull the cable jumper and the board goes OFF.
Board dimension: 100x87mm
Grid for the mounting holes: 94x81mm, 2.5mm screws.

Voltages on both ports are stable at 5.01V and 3.28V. (tested at low load)
The Vmpp potentiometer is not installed, so the board is currently set up for use with "normal" 12V solar panels (i.e. Vmpp 17-18V).
Potentiometer can be added later, SMD resistor with the default value must be removed.

Communication is great, the store responds within 2 days with helpful answers.

And for everybody else who also did not read the description - Vbat is a status pin with a voltage divider, so don't panic when the charged battery shows 3.3V. ;)

Works well

Works well to charge 3s lipo batteries. Chargers faster than cheap hobby lipo chargers. It's nice that it works up to 28V

Great charger for your 3S 18650 battery stacks!

Prompt international shipping, solid product and a great seller.

Currently using this in a solar application to charge a set of three Panasonic 18650 cells in series. Working great with no user interventions or hiccups.
