Read More…SCLD4056 is a lithium battery charger module with a wide voltage input capability designed to charge a 1SxP lithium battery pack from either small solar panels or DC input and drive a standard 12V LED strip during the night.
There is a need for outdoors lighting solutions but most are either too expensive or too weak. This is a compact solution with the only thing limiting its applications being your imagination!
SCLD4056 can charge its battery packs from a solar panel and drives a common 12V led strip. In tests, I was able to drive a 30cm long 12V Led strip (30leds) with a very good brightness for over 8hrs on a single used 18650 cell with around 1600mAh capacity. It can handle up to a full reel of a 12V LED strip without problems only reduced brightness on the total length of the strip. You can house it in a small waterproof box with a pack of batteries and power it from DC or Solar source (12V/3W solar panel for a single 18650 battery is more than enough) then use it as the power source to light smaller pieces of 12V led strips spread around a building or a yard etc. If you replace the onboard photoresistor with a PIR detector you can use it to effectively power even stronger lights like ie a cheap 12V/5-10W LED flood light. It will handle it although with reduced brightness and if for more than 10min you have to offer the output transistor some cooling.
You will receive a fully assembled and tested SCLD4056 module a bicolor LED and a photoresistor which you can either solder on the PCB or housing of your choice to suit your final application.
