What is it?

An EMB1061 BLE v4.2 development board with voltage regulator, indicator LEDS, and user buttons. It makes it easy to develop for the EMB1061 BlueNRG-1 module.

Why use the EMB1061?

The EMB1061 is a very low cost, low power BLE chip. It can easily last for 3 years on a CR2032 battery. Compared to its competitors, the EMB1061 has the best bang for the buck, but didn't become popular due to its lack of support.

I developed an open source toolchain for developing for this chip, which removes the $1500 barrier to entry that the IDEs would cost.

This chip could be used for low volume run productions, where you don't have the economies of scale for bulk orders, but could still save your bottom line for a run of 100 products.

It is also FCC approved, and requires no external circuitry to run due to it's internal voltage regulator
