Our cable is easiest way ever to connect to your micro controller / Raspberry Pi / WiFi router Bluetooth Module / WiFi Module from your serial console port. Inside the USB plug is a USB-to-Serial Bridge chip and at the end of the 6ft shielded cable are four terminated wire leads: RED (+5V PWR), BLACK (GND), WHITE (RXD), and GREEN (TXD).
The PWR lead provides +5V @ 500mA direct from the USB port and the RX/TX pins are at 3.3V level for interfacing with the most common 3.3V logic level chipsets. The GND lead is tied to SHLD so as to ensure higher transmission rates over the full length of the cable. Providing separate pin plugs, as opposed to a ganged plug, our cable is ideal for powering and linking to the debug/login console on the Raspberry Pi or any other similarly rated Microcontroller chip/module/device.
Please ensure your device parameters and settings prior to connecting.
