What is it?

Long story short, I messed up. This is a pair of earrings with RGB LED's around the edge. The plan was to have these RGB LED's change colors (and they do), but there is an error in the footprint of the battery holders and it does not allow power to the board. These earrings have hypo-allergenic 925 Sterling Silver hangers.

Why did you make it?

The 1x1 mm RGB LED's are perfect for some more advanced wearables. I wanted to redesign the Spiral Earrings with these RGB's.

What makes it special?

I had difficulties routing all the traces. To make it more appealing to the eye I decided to route the traces in the shape of a tree instead. Each root and branch controls a single anode of the LED, while the rings around the edge control the cathode (connected to a timer to create a PWM output). The concept is working and tested, but unfortunately the battery connections are backwards, so these LED's do not light up.
