This high-precision ADC hat is based on the Microchip MCP3208 A/D Converter. It features (8) 12-Bit channels accessed via SPI and has been enhanced with high-precision (.5%) 5V and 3.3V voltage references that can be selected via jumper.

With a max sample rate of 100 ksps and 8 analog inputs in single-ended mode or 4 inputs in differential-pair mode, it is compatible with all Raspberry Pi models (and compatible Single-Board-Computers) except for the Model A. It has self-healing poly fuses on the 5V and 3.3V lines to protect the Pi. MAX analog input voltage is 5.0v.

Large 5V and 3.3V cage-clamp terminals along with plenty of ground connections allow you to power your sensors directly from the hat.

NOTE: This board ships with all headers un-soldered. Some light soldering is required to connect the headers and connectors. You can optionally elect to have the board shipped to you complete assembled for a nominal fee by selecting the option on the right.

All SMD components are pre-assembled, including the EEPROM and related passive components if you select to add them, regardless of the assembly option selected.
