Modular sensor board allows you to quickly and easily deploy multiple 3 and 4 pin sensors, or sensors using SPI or I2C protocols, allowing you to communicate with them using the wireless protocols of your choice.

This is the (L) version with a 3v3 LDO on-board. The (B) version has a 3v3 BOOST converter instead (but only 3 sensor ports), can be powered from supply as low as 2.5Vdc and can be configured for Ultra-low power consumption. Upgrade to the (B) version by selecting the option on the right -->

Sensors

4 dedicated sensor ports (3 on B version) allow for multiple sensor options (sensors not included)

• 3 sensor ports can be configured with pull-up resistors (2 on B version), sensor port 1 can also be configured with a capacitor
• Supports 3.3v and 5V sensors - VCC voltage configurable via jumper

Dedicated ports for I2C and SPI - allows you to add on communications modules, microSD card modules, RTC modules, ETC:

• Supports optional microSD card module (SPI) for logging data locally MicroSD (module not included)
• Supports optional I2C RTC module for keeping logged data in sync (module not included)
• Supports virtually any I2C of SPI module of your choice; check module pin configuration for compatibility

Power

• Two 5V LDO footprints to accommodate wide range of 5V LDO ICs for maximum voltage flexibility; select a recommended 5VLDO: MCP1826S, or MC33269T; use your own preferred LDO, or leave it out and run the board at 3.3 volts
• On-board 3.3v LDO supplies 800ma
• Optional 3.3v BOOST converter supplies 800ma, can be powered by 2.5Vdc, and can be disabled during sleep mode for maximum power savings
• VCC can be set to 5v, 3.3v, via VCC_SRC jumper
• optional dual-18650 battery holder 2 x 18650 can be mounted to bottom of board, creating a mobile sensor unit for quick or temporary deployments. Can be configured for SERIAL or PARALLEL operation. 5VLDO not required for parallel battery mode
• LDO_BYP jumper allows for direct power, bypassing 5V LDO. Set to +5V to apply VIN (max 5VDC) directly to 5V rail
• Standard 2.1mm barrel jack, supply up to 20VDC with appropriate 5VLDO
• 2-pin, 2.54mm MOLEX connector, supply up to 20VDC with appropriate 5VLDO
• apply up to 5V directly to VIN or 5V rail, no 5V LDO required
• 3-pin PWR header for sourcing or applying 5V, 3v3, or GND

Communications

Supports WIFI, Bluetooth, and 2.4Ghz (NRF24L01+), or any SPI or I2C-based communications modules

• Dedicated port for ESP8266 Serial Wifi module, model ESP-01 module ESP-01 (module not included)
• Dedicated port for NRF24l01+ 2.4Ghz wireless transceiver module; Standard Version or With External Antenna (module not included)
