The power source is a small, 5 - 20V solar cell.
At shipping charge current is set to 50mA. It can be set to 100mA by connecting solder jumper next to the label 100mA. The connection next to label 50mA needs to be cut.
The 1MOhm trimmer potentiometer is used to determine the MPPT (multi point power tracking point) of the solar cell. At shipping it is set to around 500kOhm, which sets the MPPT voltage of the solar cell to around 12V.
Output voltage is set to 3.3V. It can be set to 5V by connecting solder jumper next to the label 5V. The connection next to the label 3.3V needs to be cut.
There are several output voltage connections, to help with sensor connections. If you plan to use solar cells with higher voltages, then please connect a 25Ohm, 2W resistor in series with the input and change the input capacitor with one that has a higher voltage rating.
The board also fits on top of Sensor board: link
