What is it?

The device represents a dual single-pole quad-throw analog switch (2x SP4T) suitable for use in analog or digital 4:1 multiplexer/demultiplexer applications. It can be used for switching between four different stereo audio or other analog signal sources and selecting one of them to the output. In opposite - it can also be used redirect one signal to four different outputs.

The device has the following features:

Wide analog input voltage range from -4.9 V to +4.9 V
Low ON resistance: 60 Ohm (typical)
Logic level translation: to enable 5 V logic to communicate with 5 V analog signals
Typical ‘break before make’ built-in
Complies with JEDEC standard no. 7A
Input levels - CMOS level
ESD protection: HBM JESD22-A114F exceeds 2000 V MM JESD22-A115-A exceeds 200 V CDM JESD22-C101E exceeds 1000 V

All needed power supplies are generated on board. The input power supply can be in the range 8V ro 24V.

Why did you make it?

For DIY projects in lot of cases is needed such kind of analog/digital signal MUX/DEMUX. The device can be used in the input stages audio amplifiers to switch between different audio sources. It can be used in oscilloscopes, audio mixers and a lot of different electronic circuits. If two of them are connected in series as MUX/DEMUX - one of four signals can be passed to one of four different loads. A lot of other applications can be found.

What makes it special?

It is stand alone multiplexer with input range from 4.9V to -4.9V, which can be controlled by Arduino or other nicrocontroller with 5V digital interface.
