What is it?

The power supply module is based on the AMS1117 voltage regulator. It has 5.5x2.1 mm DC input jack. Three output voltage versions exist. Choose from:

• 5V
• 3.3V
• 2.5V

Why did you make it?

For some small DIY projects always are needed some supply sources. Typically the most used supplies are 5V and 3.3V. Making provisional supplies on breadboards can solve the problem, but it has some disadvantages: - their parts are not strongly fixed and touching the accidentally you can cause short circuit or power supply interrupt. Both cases can damage your devices. - it is boring each time to insert in the board these voltage regulators, capacitors...etc. If you want to add protection diodes, power supply LED indicators - plenty of parts have to be connected in the proper way.

What makes it special?

• The power supply module has a very small size
• It has a power indicator LED - you always know is you supply your project
• The output current can be max. 1A.
• The module has protection diode against wrong input voltage polarity
• The output voltage is filtered by the capacitor bank : electrolytic capacitor + 1uF ceramic one.
