What is it?

With 3 GPIOs from a small footprint 8-pin MCU charlieplexing 6 LEDs, plus a push button. It functions as a digital dice.

It is a minimalistic MCU system with nothing but MCU, LED as output, push button as input.

Why did you make it?

It all begins when I have a small table to play board games with friends. And the rolling of dice often either ends up on the floor or knocks down pieces on the board.

So why not to make a pair of digital dice for every player.

What makes it special?

It's a minimalistic system With hardware constraints such as MCU pinouts, and small RAM size.

The constraints of the MSP430G2230 MCU, while seemingly limiting, can actually be a powerful springboard for creativity when it comes to programming, for example with Forth.

It doesn't have to be a digital dice. With user's customization, it can be ... anything.
