What is it?

Its a Simple board that will upgrade your 53131A 53132A or even 53181A counter's reference time base to Ultra high stability OCXO. This listing is for blank PCB board only, user need to source and mount required components.

Why did you make it?

I got my self 53132A because of project, so needed OCXO for obvious reasons. But can not not get enough confidence in evilbay units because of nodata OCXO, use of substitute or unknown origin parts. Use of unknown source electrolytic cap with a OCXO which get descent hot was not getting through my head. Maybe people skipped tantalum caps because of relatively high price compare to electrolytic Cap.

As I did not find any Open source design. So in the end made my self keeping high quality in mind. I also made 3Ghz option just for fun, source is available in my github for both of the boards.

What makes it special?

This board supports all features as original board Automatic calibration with onboard DAC and Reference IC. If auto calibration is not needed User can skip mounting DAC and reference IC and mount a Trimpot for manual calibration. If DAC is mounted then Trimpot is not needed. Board uses really nice Wurth Steel standoff for mounting.
