This is a DIY soldering kit to allow you to break VGA, Audio and Composite Video from the Raspberry Pi Zero

Product Features

Breaks out the analogue outputs from the Raspberry Pi Zero and Zero W. The analogue ports it provides are stereo audio, composite and VGA. All connectors are aligned to the same edge as the Zero's existing connectors. The board is ideal if you want to utilize a computer monitor, especially if it has built in speakers like many 'multimedia' TFT screens that now cost very little second hand.

The circuitry uses passive methods to convert the digital signals. Based upon Gert Van Loo's VGA666 board except it is in a different mode to allow for the PWM audio pins to be free so they can also be broken out. This board will work on most Raspberry Pis with the 40 pin header with exception of the composite video which takes advantage of the Raspberry Pi Zero and Zero W's extra header pins that are not present on other models.

It is a kit

To make it possible and easy to adapt for different purposes it is a kit / bare PCB that uses only through-hole components. Due to a lack of space all components are folded this may make it a little fiddly to construct if you have less experience but it is not too hard. There is full instructions on how to build the kit experienced and amateur alike.

What this means is that you can choose which way up the board is mounted, if you want the VGA or not and if you are building into an enclosure the pads can be directly soldered.
