Read More…The RadSens is an universal module dosimeter-radiometer based on the tried and tested gas-discharge Geiger-Muller counter SBM 20-1.
The logic of the RadSens is based on the STM32 microcontroller. The data received from the Geiger counter is transmitted via the I2C interface. The device supports: changing in the I2C address, turning off the high voltage generator (400V) to reduce power consumption and fine-tuning of the counter sensitivity is supported.
Dosimeter has a size of only 89 х 21 х 16 mm. Counter is mounted directly on the board. So you can easily place the module in any junction box.

Dosimeter is tuned and SMB20-1 counter is included in the delivery set. So you can use modules from the box.
As an outbound I2C package, the RadSens board generates 3 values:
The radiation sensor based on the RadSens board works in stand-alone mode, as part of an external microcontroller Arduino, STM, Raspberry or as part of your own device. To run the board, you can use an example sketch or our libraries on GITHUB.

Measuring background radiation in a standalone mode represents the radiation level by flashing the LED. With an increase in radiation, the blinking frequency will increase proportionally and vice versa.
Tube (Geiger-Muller counter) could be changed and soldered directly through holes in the board
Supported Geiger-Muller counters: any with anode voltage 380 – 440 volts.
