The M5Cardputer is an excellent and affordable little device with heaps of functionality and loads of interesting firmwares out there in the community already. In certain circles it’s fast becoming the affordable alternative to the Flipper Zero with firmwares such as Bruce OS and Evil computer. I’ve been playing with mine for a while and have really enjoyed it.

One thing that bugged me a bit was I instantly wanted to hang it on a lanyard or wrist strap and, if you’ve ever disassembled your Cardputer, you’ll note that the built in lanyard attachment point is tiny and the structural part reinforcing it is only about 1mm^3! So I knew I had to make an alternative.

The result is this rugged PETG 3D printed little add on. Designed in FreeCAD (see links below to design files) it fits onto the rear of the case and uses both an extended M2 bolt and the lego technics connectors to make a really solid connection. The hole through it is around 6mm wide so in total overkill you could add a piece of 550 paracord, or indeed something smaller! The add on can really be held in position with the bolt and just one or two of the technics connectors but if you use all four connectors it’s incredibly rugged. If you have a printer, do feel free to print your own, but I’m selling them with 4 technics connectors and the 16mm bolt which fits perfectly into the standard case bolt hole.
