ESP01 Expander Series:

Loads of people use ESP-01 in their projects. It is a great little MCU that enables plenty of IOT projects. Unfortunately it is limited when it comes to GPIO's. This product is part of a series to tackle this issue. Using I²C the ESP01 can be expanded with loads of GPIO's.

In this case the PCA9685 providing 16 PWM channels.

Enabling your ESP01 project with 16 PWM Outputs

PCA9685 Spec's:

16 LED drivers. Each output programmable at: Off/On/Programmable LED brightness/Programmable LED turn-on time to help reduce EMI.
Power Supply/Logic Levels: 2.3V to 5.5V
I2C Interface: 0x40/0x7F
Up to 62 stackable, for a total of PWM 992 outputs!

General information:

I²C pins on the ESP01 are GPIO1-SDA/GPIO3-SCL.
I²C default PCA: 0x40.
Boards from the ESP01 Expander series are stackable, where the I²C/Supply is connected between boards.
Compatible with the Adafruit PCA9685 Library for Arduino
Tested with LED/Transistors, not tested with Servo's
ESP01 and the stackable headers are not included but can be added optionally. This way you don't pay for what you don't need.. ESP01 comes factory boot loaded, no code/sketch included.
