What is it?

4Ch. USB hub with switched data lines, while power remaining on. Enabling quick and easy toggling between active devices.

Why did you make it?

A friend, who is an Eurorack enthusiast, needed a solution for quickly switching USB devices connected to his Monome Teletype. Regular USB hubs are not an option, as only one device at a time is recognised by the host. But hot swapping plugs and losing power while switching USB cables is also not preferred. So the idea came to mind to create a USB switching module where the power lines remain connected but the data lines are switched.

What makes it special?

It is applicable in instances where several USB devices are to be connected but a regular hub is not recognised, e.g., the Monome Teletype. USB channels are powered via an external 12v adapter (standalone use) or Eurorack power (rack use). USB power lines are completely isolated from the host USB to avoid a high current draw from the host device.

When a channel is selected, the LED in the button will "breath". When no channel is selected, the button LEDs follow a sequence.

3D printed enclosure is optionally available for external or non-EuroRack use. Please select it if your setup requires it, colour can be determined/discussed.
