What is it? It allows for a solid device where you can run 2 seperate programs on 2 seperat arduinos and connect at will to interact.

Why did you make it? I needed a way to run a simulation on on Uno and test a program I had running on another. Where they could be physically and solidly connected not just connected by jumps.

What makes it special?The ability to use the actual arduino holes to solidly connect 2 boards, into one device, and then electrically connect at will.
