What is it?

The "makecode arcade game console," or MAGC, is a handheld device designed for gaming and coding. It utilizes the Raspberry Pi Pico as its core and incorporates features such as a screen, buttons, SD card slot, GPIO pins, and a buzzer. With MAGC, users can create their own games using the makecode arcade platform and even run micropython programs. It offers a versatile and interactive experience for game development and experimentation.

Why did you make it?

I made the makecode arcade game console, or MAGC, because I wanted to provide a platform that combines gaming and coding in a handheld device. I believe that hands-on experiences with programming and game design can foster creativity, problem-solving skills, and a passion for technology. MAGC allows users to design and play their own games, promoting learning through interactive and engaging activities. By utilizing the Raspberry Pi Pico and makecode arcade, I aimed to create an accessible and versatile tool for both beginners and experienced enthusiasts to explore the world of game development and coding.
