The BMP180 is a full-function compatible successor of the BMP085, a new generation of high-precision digital pressure sensors by Bosch Sensortec.

The BMP180 also provides a temperature measurement between 0 to 65°C. The BMP180 is based on piezo-resistive technology for EMC robustness, high accuracy as well as long-term stability.

The E2PROM has 176bit of stored individual calibration data. This is used to compensate offset, temperature dependence, and other parameters of the sensor.

Typical applications for this device include:

enhancement of GPS navigaion (dead-reckoning, slope detection, etc.), weather forcast, and vertical velocity indication (rise/sink speed). All I²C Mini Modules are designed to operate at 5VDC. Using a convenient 4-Pin plug, devices can be daisy-chained onto the I²C Bus, eliminating the need for soldering. Simply plug together the devices you need for your next automation application. Pull-up resistors are included with all ControlEverything.com master devices. If you are wiring in your own I²C port, on-board 4.7K jumper-selectable pull-up resistors are available for convenience purposes.
