WHITEBoard DevKitC

WHITEBoard DevKitC is a development board based on ESP32-C3. There are some solutions on the market, but in time I designed this one, there were none with all features I needed. So I decided to design this one here. After successful prototypes, I decided to offer it to others who might need it as well.

Features

WHITEBoard DevKitC can be programmed with C/C++ and MicroPython. Please keep in mind that ESP32-C3 MicropPython support is in beta. Board is tested with Arduino IDE and Thonny, without any issue. For more info, please check the GitHub.

Board can be powered through any of the micro USB ports. It can be powered with a standard LiPo battery of any capacity. Please take note, JST LiPo connector IS NOT STANDARDIZED. Polarity can be on any side. On this board, there are polarity signs. Wrong polarity can destroy the battery or/and DevKitC. There is no dedicated PIN on board for powering it. However, it can be powered through a 5V pin with regulated power.

The battery is set to be charged with 500mA with a 2K resistor. There are two resistors for the voltage divider to get the battery voltage. Under the board is a solder jumper, so you can choose between battery monitoring and GPIO usage. You can not have both.

RGB LED WS2812 can be used in the same manner. There is a solder jumper for this, as well. Every DevKitC comes with preinstalled RGB LED Blink sketch. That means this solder jumper is soldered, by default. If you don't need it, but you need a GPIO, just unsolder it.

Disclaimer

Boards are soldered by hand, so you might notice some non-perfect solder points. I cleaned boards from flux as much as I can.
