What is it?

It's a hair accessory, a clasp for holding your long hair together at the back of your head. Don't confuse with a hair clip — this is the big thing that holds your hair together, not the small thing that you add as an ornament. Oh, and it has blinking LEDs on it.

Why did you make it?

My girlfriend wanted one. Also, I wanted to see how practical it will be, before I go on making more ambitious wearable projects.

What makes it special?

It has a 20 shiny LEDs which it blinks in a pattern resembling an electric pulse on an oscilloscope, or maybe a heartbeat as seen on an EKG diagram.
