What is it?

Just a simple Eurorack compatible 606 Bass Drum Synth module!

There are several choices:

the PCB alone
the PCB + a cool black front panel in PCB material
and a complete, built and tested unit (no assembly required).

In detail

It's a direct clone of the Roland TR-606 Bass drum section. The bass drum is composed of two damped oscillators. The tone potentiometer sets the mix level from each source. Accent is a default setting for the amount of excitation of the 2 oscillators. You can also use the "Accent" jack input instead. 0V is no oscillation, 12V is maximum oscillation. The output is buffered.

Power is +12/-12V.

Input: Trigger and Accent. Output: Eurorack level

The front panel is only 4 HP, matte black PCB, 1.6mm thick. Module depth is 36mm, perfect for a shallow case.

It's Precisely What It Says It Is, And That's Amazing

Many, many years ago I brought my Roland TR-606, that I had modified with individual audio outs for each drum, to a recording studio. The engineer said it had the strongest bass drum he'd ever recorded. Now, with much gratitude to Monsieur Haillant, I get the same power and weight without the hassle of syncing my 606. With a little EQ and compression, this bass drum is a monster! Easy to build and the parts are easy to find. A fantastic module!
