What makes these different?

There have been many great responsive LED projects over the years. As amazing as they are,

These problems remain:

They require very complex wiring
They're expensive
Limited colors
They're time consuming

But with these panels:

No complex wiring required
Most affordable solution available by far.
Individual sensor for each individual LED for maximum resolution
Dedicated 32-bit microcontroller
250 scan per second refresh rate
Advanced Infrared object detection algorithm
Ws2812 RGB LEDs

Car interior

Each panel is 12cm x 12cm and can be soldered or pinned together to make larger panels. Each panel has 16 WS2812 RGB LEDs in a 4x4 Grid with a proximity sensor at each individual LED. There are Solder Pads on each of the 4 sides for 5v Power and Ground. It is clearly marked. To connect 2 panels together simply place them side by side and solder them together along their side.
