Xonic Energy Distributor is a busboard for Eurorack modules to distribute the power from the power supply to the modules. It distributes +5 V, +12 V, -12 V and ground from the screw clamps to the 16-pin IDC male header connectors. It also connects the gate lines as well as the CV lines between all the headers. The 16-pin headers are configured like the Eurorack standard.

The busboard is designed to be used in a flat case, which is accomplished by using 90 degree angle headers. The board is 74 HP long and has connections for 12 modules in total. That's roughly 6 HP to 7 HP per connection. Furthermore, to keep impedance low, the power and ground is distributed through planes instead of traces.

How to install?

First of all, to prevent short circuit, always make sure that none of the area under voltage is in contact with metal parts in your case. Except from the plated holes.

There are several ways to install the busboard in your Eurorack case:

• Method 1: With screws/bolts:

Use the holes to screw the busboard on spacers/standoffs in your case. The five plated hole are grounded, which you could connect to metal chassis via metal spacers. The six non-plated holes are non-plated for a reason. The area around it is a power plane (+5V, 12V or -12V) and not ground. To prevent scratching them (which exposes the copper), use plastic screws/spacers or plastic washers (on both sides).

• Method 2: By sticking it:

Attach the busboard with double sided adhesive tape or velcro tape. The underside of the busboard has a large area that you can utilize for this.
