Description

The BD-606 is a TR-606 bass drum clone in the Eurorack format, packaged in a small 2hp form factor to minimize used space on your rack. It supports additional functionality not available in the original TR-606 drum machine as well as features that make it more suited to the Eurorack format:

Accent (AC) CV / Gate (GT) Input: The accent input allows each trigger to have a different accent setting for more dynamic drum tracks. The BD-606 now has two selectable accent modes: AC CV mode and AC GT mode.
- AC CV Mode: AC CV mode allows the Accent setting to be modified by an external analog CV input. The AC trim setting acts as an offset for the AC CV input voltage.
- AC GT Mode: AC GT mode allows the Accent effect to be gated (On/Off) rather than continuously variable, similar to the functionality of the original TR-606. The AC trim setting sets the accent amount for gated beats.
Tone: Adjust the tone of the drum - ranges from a deep drum kick to a high 'tom' sound.
Oscillator Mix: Set the mix of the internal 'bass' and 'click' oscillators.
Internal Gate to Trigger Conversion: No need for an external converter - the module responds to only the rising edge of a gate signal and creates a precisely timed trigger pulse. This avoids double triggering on the falling edge of a longer gate signal.

Nice Little Bass Drum Module

I got this to add to my rack, because who doesn't need another bass drum sound? Kit assembly was easy, it took me about 45 minutes. Documentation and assembly instructions are excellent. Module definitely has sweet spots, but it does not fail to produce usable and interesting sounds at every setting.

Perfect kick drum for techno in 2hp

This is a sweet price for any drum module in eurorack. The 2hp size is exactly what I need & was looking for. I don’t have a 606 to compare it to but it’s a thumpy sort of medium decay kick that has a good amount of low end weight to it. Great for a bread & butter foundation to a techno or house tune.

Awesome seller

I bought this and the snare drum modules, both arrived very quickly. The kits were very easy to build with great instructions, you just have to solder a few components on since the board is mostly assembled already. They each took me maybe thirty minutes to assemble if that. And the modules both sound fantastic, the kick can hit some 808 levels of thunder and the snare just pops. Will absolutely purchase from this seller again

Really cool module

Was easy to assemble as the instructions were super clear. The module sounds great! I often run it through an Instruo tanh[3] to fatten it up.

Sounds great and easy to build

I'm using this for a drum machine rack and this works perfectly. It took me about an hour to complete (I had the SMDs already installed since I'm not that great with it yet). I'm looking forward to recording something with it!

Great sounding inexpensive module

More than a vfm module. I ordered the DIY kit with the smds pre solder, very easy built. Sounds very smooth with great low end. I hope to release new modules. Great job!!!

Professional kit!

This project is very well-engineered, looks and sounds great! Assembly was straightforward, especially as far as 2HP modules go. The kit was well-packed with individually labeled parts bags. I hope you do a matching 606 snare and hats!
