Read More…The AMC7140 is one of the largest low-cost linear constant current drivers. Intended for driving mid-high power LEDs, the AMC7140 is an adjustable low-side constant current driver, adjustable up to 700mA. The AMC7140 can use a very high supply voltage, though due to the relatively high current likely involved, the supply voltage must be fairly close to the operating voltage of the load.
The AMC7140 is in the TO-252 package, which is entirely unsuitable for hand soldering. I needed some of AMC7140 breakout boards for my own projects, so I had these made - and I've now got more than I need.
