Gameboy Color Bluetooth Audio Integration

This Modification features the integration of Bluetooth 5 low latency audio capabilities inside the gameboy without compromising any of the original existing features. You wouldn't even notice it's there without being told!

• Flexible PCB for easy installation and fitment

• Low Latency (~30-40mS) (When using with a Bluetooth 5 device using APTX-LL) (Around ~90-100ms using AAC Bluetooth headsets)

• APTX / APTX-LL / APTX-HD & AAC & SBC & Faststream audio codec support

• Touch controlled

• Compatible with all IPS, Regulator, Lipo and Amplifier modifications

• Custom programmed MCU controlling the bluetooth modules and gameboy amplifier

• Seemless Bluetooth integration (For example the audio to speakers being cut when bluetooth is in use)

• no extra noise added to the existing gameboy system

• Maximum Current Usage of 85mA

NOTICE

Not compatibel with GCB-CPU-05/06 with the square crystal oscillator clock.

The modification will fit in GCB-CPU-05/06 boards with the round clocks. If the board is fitted with the square crystal the modification won’t fit unless a round crystal is installed in it’s place.

(Select Crystal option to buy a replacement Crystal if needed.)

• 1x Flexible Bluetooth Modification (pre-programmed)

Requirements for the modifcation

• Replaced Regulator (In return it needs to be IPS modded)
• Capacitor replacement and preferably main capacitor upgrade
• Gameboy Switch replacement (Included in kit)

Why was it made & What makes it special

The Modification was made out of the desire to use modern wireless headphones on the gameboy and not be stuck with the bulky and inconvenient cables, and to modernize the gameboy color even more! as this was a deep passion of mine to ever succeed in adding this feature to my gameboy, as I'm a heavy bluetooth headphone user.

NOTICE

This is a advance modification and requires the installer to have soldering skills, failure to install it properly can result in damage to the gameboy and modification.

If you are unsure if you are capable of completing / doing the steps in the installation guide don't do this modification.

Also the modification does not remove any noise already present the system. so it is advised to use a gameboy color that is in good audio condition and does not suffer from heavy interference or any other audio issue’s as they will be included in the bluetooth audio.
