The product was originally created to support FIRST Robotics teams that wished to create custom joystick or controls to operate their competition robots.

What makes it special?

The CCI allows anyone to create custom controls that are accessible through a standard HID interface on a PC. An on-board DIP switch allows the user to incorporate multiple CCIs in their projects by setting up to 4 unique ids. The CCI has a small footprint which make it easy to integrate into project boxes or consoles to quickly create unique solutions.

Great board for emulating a Joystick

Our robotics team has been using the CCI board for many seasons. It continues to be a great way on emulating a joystick for the creation of custom operator interfaces to simplify the operation of a tele-operated robot platform. Rather than having to remember that the "A" button on the Xbox controller was the shoot function, we can simply label a custom button as "Fire" on the controls box. The allows alternative drivers to immediately grasp the operation of the robot.
